Chinese Snax

Chinese food is not what it used to be. Check out the pictures of these treats! Note for instance this innovative pizza...with little sausages rolled into the crusts.

Then there are these new flavors of Pringles-- Black Pepper Rib Eye Steak, Thai Curry Crab Flavor, Thai Sweet and Spicy Prawn Flavor. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Then how about these chip flavors--Crispy Drumstick Flavor and Italian Red Meat Flavor. But really one of the best things I had was won ton soup yesterday for breakfast.

The REAL chinese snacks are the breakfast items you can buy on the street - barrel bread, dan bing (egg crepe thingy) and the baozis. MMMMMMM!!!! My first introduction was 11 yrs ago snacking with Beeks - that's a man who takes snacking as a professional sport.

Dear Uncle Eric,
You may be surprised (or disgusted) to learn the manufacturers of these items tried (and failed) to launch these “delectable” items on Australia a year or two ago. Luckily they did not take too well. I hear that the launch of 4 & 20 meat pies in America is going much better though, all though I am not surprised at this as the humble Aussie meat pie is delicious isn’t it? Speaking of which I was going through some old papers the other day and found a newspaper clipping from the 2000 Olympic games of you eating an meat pie, it still makes me smile. I’m pretty sure that mum bought at least 10 of those papers and sent the article to almost everyone!
God Bless!
Emily (your Aussie niece)

- I was also wondering if you had Ally’s email address in College. Thanks very much!-
